CLUBS, SHORT BREAKS AND HOLIDAY SCHEMES!
Neurodiverse-Friendly Activities for 4-14 year olds and their families.
Fitting in can be hard for neurodiverse children, especially a child with ASC or ADHD. And there are few social activities that are not stressful for them, but they have so much to give!
At NeuroTribe, we run a range of short breaks and activities, during the holidays, and at weekends and after school, where neurodiverse children from 4 to 14 and their neurotypical tribe (brothers, sisters, cousins and family or friends) can come, hang out, get support, and feel a sense of belonging:
No formal learning, no stress, just a little help making and keeping friends, lots of confidence building, and a whole lot of fun! (oh, and often, a cuppa and a chat for their grown-ups).
WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS?
Our activities designed for children with and without high functioning autism, ADHD, and related needs.
Social skills and conflict management guidance from trained, experienced therapists.
A non-judgemental, structured environment in which to practice social skills.
The opportunity to foster a strong sense of belonging, which in turn can boost self-esteem and self-worth.
The chance to give and receive support from other parents.
The opportunity to build and maintain friendships (both for children and adults) which can continue outside of the NeuroTribe environment.
WHAT CAN WE OFFER YOU?
A warm, creative, local hub that you can return to again and again!
Support for siblings of children with high functioning autism and related needs.
A place to chill out, relax, make and keep friends, and discover loads of great books about all things SEN!
Opportunities to talk to our club leaders, who are also SEN parents, about any issues you are facing.
Signposting to other helpful organizations.
WHEN AND WHERE?
Our most recent activity was our October Holiday Club, with writer and performer Paul Cree, and Art Therapist Jan! It was an amazing experience.
